It is truly exciting, not knowing what you are going to create from nothing.
You have to let it flow directly from your soul and it can't be derived or planned.
A true artist simply creates art without explanation.
Faith in God and a passion to use the gift He has given me is all the inspiration I need to create something special.Ruth Palmerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01192343767115992133noreply@blogger.comBlogger14125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7966211168061727999.post-51810537083758514822009-02-01T10:33:00.001-08:002009-02-01T11:15:14.372-08:00He Loves Us Inspite Of Ourselves<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiR5bgdD_UF8S0CgRVTS3QH6Vqx_OWj8ouZZl9HpxtuSsM4J8LW-BaMK0jj0h_jFELwawWvnOqY6ZXBEjj-6cyn_4849HWTI524upyCgcu4l_aN0V8cv6f92ZH-WLRHfZnrjRWGI1IrD9vB/s1600-h/002b++16+at+72+for+WWAO.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 319px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiR5bgdD_UF8S0CgRVTS3QH6Vqx_OWj8ouZZl9HpxtuSsM4J8LW-BaMK0jj0h_jFELwawWvnOqY6ZXBEjj-6cyn_4849HWTI524upyCgcu4l_aN0V8cv6f92ZH-WLRHfZnrjRWGI1IrD9vB/s320/002b++16+at+72+for+WWAO.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5297901817975692882" /></a><br />I'm always faced on a daily basis, as many artists are, with an inner struggle about whether to create from the heart or according to industry trends. Since I make most of my living selling decorative prints, it has become quite the dilemma for me. <br /><br />I know in my heart what God wants from me. He wants me to produce work for His glory and He makes it known to me quite clearly through the sales of my spiritual artworks and kind letters from wonderful people all over the world who have been touched in some way or another through my work. I know that's not me, that's Him.<br /><br />Often, I veer off the path and take my own direction...I'm human, that's just what we do but it is comforting to know that He is with us always, never leaving nor forsaking us as we go through this journey.<br /><br />This piece speaks to that.<br /><br />The signed original is 16 X 16 inches on stretched canvas $245. It is also available in print. It still takes quite a few hours to complete a lens but I think this year it's going to be all about marketing and we have to use the tools that are available to us. <br /><br />In my opinion Squidoo gives us a so much at no cost. It's definitely a great marketing tool and I think we all need to take advantage of it. Happy Squidooing!<br /><br /><a href="http://www.squidoo.com/ruthpalmerzazzlegalleryshowcase" rel="nofollow">HighCal's Zazzle Gallery Showcase On Squidoo</a>Ruth Palmerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01192343767115992133noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7966211168061727999.post-61286872596341726892009-01-10T10:08:00.000-08:002009-01-10T10:14:45.172-08:00Ths Season Of Singing Has Come. This is my latest painting. How many pieces have you painted over and had someone come to you and ask where it is?...too late...ooops! We can never get it back once it's gone!<br /><br />Anyway, I didn't do that and "it is what it is". I knew that I did love the simple "rawness" of it and it has since received some wonderful, positive feedback from fellow artists, which is always good. <br /><br />As artists we must learn to always go with our gut instinct. Never stop talking to God, He always hears....even the moans and groans!</span></strong></div><div><strong><span style="color:#333399;"></span></strong></div><div><strong><span style="color:#333399;">Be Blessed.</span></strong></div><br /><div></div>Ruth Palmerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01192343767115992133noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7966211168061727999.post-92218274648336112007-04-19T08:54:00.000-07:002008-12-09T18:50:55.988-08:00Autumnal Colors<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtaAynVFV-DZPM55hZ8m_i6aJJHBCIbiE7tOU-tz1qDklsoP6ZxiqYdKfXoN_OYHYdzpTZTRTB0Rwdeflt7RhuhMqb912wNQH6qxxUcKrju2SshrW7tQqrnNyavrKtkmWI6s_xm25ZENXv/s1600-h/orange+lines+small+melt+square+pinch+sheartiny.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5055169279690784834" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtaAynVFV-DZPM55hZ8m_i6aJJHBCIbiE7tOU-tz1qDklsoP6ZxiqYdKfXoN_OYHYdzpTZTRTB0Rwdeflt7RhuhMqb912wNQH6qxxUcKrju2SshrW7tQqrnNyavrKtkmWI6s_xm25ZENXv/s200/orange+lines+small+melt+square+pinch+sheartiny.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_2ybRrA_T8aOHnpR209dWTolF_X9ejtFdwo7jIx8fh58QtPbp55lupPVB_lNcFXvlgDZpZOOWvaZVjKkw4iyd1sG71Nc5dglVoHKkuHEci2N4mi5HCzfK3UaiAjIJK1jd7UlDUihR7l93/s1600-h/orange+lines+small+melt.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5055169125071962162" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_2ybRrA_T8aOHnpR209dWTolF_X9ejtFdwo7jIx8fh58QtPbp55lupPVB_lNcFXvlgDZpZOOWvaZVjKkw4iyd1sG71Nc5dglVoHKkuHEci2N4mi5HCzfK3UaiAjIJK1jd7UlDUihR7l93/s200/orange+lines+small+melt.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiog7ZdCNb0iYEhmOlbLrl7gUxut3eJ3svYS3SpNEBbXVfUZBNnvHLSqAETgqXtchOlcf17Pzi-jE8JSKZ92IKLVSuTTMT5Z5kTgfghoMfv073VRl7qsTAF_9rjA6RMX60uwE-0KVJsTt6L/s1600-h/orange+lines+small+melt+square+tiny.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5055168850194055202" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiog7ZdCNb0iYEhmOlbLrl7gUxut3eJ3svYS3SpNEBbXVfUZBNnvHLSqAETgqXtchOlcf17Pzi-jE8JSKZ92IKLVSuTTMT5Z5kTgfghoMfv073VRl7qsTAF_9rjA6RMX60uwE-0KVJsTt6L/s200/orange+lines+small+melt+square+tiny.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUWiAFZFZxlppK2j0gdo4z9jPbmtyYbdRJBibEyExjQa4snWAiwn3Y4oaXrXx9EUZascT05zSgVL2fREX5ZXwCBQE9Nk8sz-i4sAFXUwBavsPybjLr2cNxK-NFlCfZ5osXSp0YH1pTNirS/s1600-h/orange+lines+small+melt+wave+tiny.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5055168729934970898" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUWiAFZFZxlppK2j0gdo4z9jPbmtyYbdRJBibEyExjQa4snWAiwn3Y4oaXrXx9EUZascT05zSgVL2fREX5ZXwCBQE9Nk8sz-i4sAFXUwBavsPybjLr2cNxK-NFlCfZ5osXSp0YH1pTNirS/s200/orange+lines+small+melt+wave+tiny.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><div>For those of you who like digital artwork.
